| The goal of an iodine-based teat dip is to elevate
the level of "free" iodine for maximum germ-killing speed and power, while
improving its stability within the formulation.
"Free" iodine is the only portion of iodine that kills bacteria. And while some iodine teat dips have the same percentage of iodine on the label, the amount of "free" iodineand the product's effectivenesscan vary greatly. I-tech™ is a technological breakthrough offering dairy producers superior mastitis control. It provides more "free", thus greater killing power. Tests have proven that teat dips with I-tech can kill more germs in 15 seconds or less than conventional iodine teat dips kill in a minute or more. While speed of kill is always important, it is absolutely critical in pre-dipping
situations where incomplete sanitizing allows mastitis-causing bacteria
to survive on the teat end, which increases the opportunity for infections
to develop.
